Newsletter Addition #6
Dreaming of Summer
Being in the here and now is such an important skill to practice on a daily basis, and yet when the days are as beautiful as they have been, I feel like summer is just around the corner and I’m totally excited for sailing, warm days in my yard with my crazy doggos, and getting out of town for some road trip fun.
I read some research recently that said we get more joy from dreaming and anticipating the fun we are going to have on vacations than we do once we are actually on them. Having something to look forward to can be an incredible energy boost and focusing on what we would love to have manifest can be a great inspiration towards making it actually happen.
Just remember that if once you step off that plane or bust out your tent and things turn out different than you had hoped, you can bring your awareness back to the present moment, accept that it isn’t unfolding exactly as you wanted, and then CHOOSE to make the most of it.❤️
Daily Choices
Speaking of how to handle a vacation gone sideways, I have been talking the last few months about the Disciplines outlined in the COR.E Dynamics program at iPEC, because they provide ways to ground us in this often unpredictable life.
In February I spoke about the first discipline of Awareness and how using this discipline can help us stay in the moment and recognize not only when we are creating mountains out of molehills in our minds, but what other possible ways our minds CAN react.
In March, I shared the Discipline of Acceptance, and how instead of lamenting a situation that is disappointing or making up stories of how it will ruin your day/year/life, we can find Acceptance for what it is, find the lesson we’re being given to learn, and try to move forward. Without Acceptance we can get stuck in a constant loop of fear, regret or frustration and waste our precious time.
The next Discipline is Conscious Choice, and my personal favorite because I am obsessed with the unbelievable number of choices that we handle every single day. Almost all of them are unconscious choices that our brain makes in a split second, others are larger and more impactful and yet many of those are STILL made unconsciously.
For instance, I wake up every morning and do my daily routine that basically involves getting up, making coffee, feeding the dogs and then feeding myself and getting dressed. Every single one of these things I do without thinking about, but at one point I chose this routine for the way to start my day. There are nearly a million possibilities for me to choose from, different choices that could lead to different outcomes in my day, my health, or my life.
Lately, I have been wishing to reclaim more time in my day for my business, but I had no idea where I was going to fit it into my “busy” schedule. So I started bringing Awareness to how much time I was spending doing different things in my day. Come to find out, I had time in my mornings and A LOT of time in my evenings that was being wasted on various things like TV or scrolling on my phone.
Suddenly, I’m faced with having to find some Acceptance for the fact that I’m the one creating the narrative that I’m “too busy”, and that I have a choice to make.
To ignore the discovery that I could drop TV to make time for my business.
OR
2. Do something about it and use the new found time to push forward and build new programs and ways to serve my clients.
Either way, because of working through this process I now have a conscious choice to make regarding what I am going to do each day. Neither choice is bad or good, but a new opportunity to decide how I want my day to unfold. Do I feel the need to relax or would I feel more energized knowing I’ve made time to finish my newsletter.😉
What would you most want to do if you had more time?

Dates: June 23, 24 at 6:00-7:30 PM PST
Fear is born from our mind’s desire to keep us safe. It often uses known experiences of the past to hold us captive in our comfort zone, but realizing our dreams or our purpose isn’t about repeating our past, is it?
Beyond our comfort zone is where all new and exciting things exist, and if we can learn to keep looking forward to what we want, and challenge our fears with small steps, then we can slowly learn the path to becoming fearless.

My vision for Daily Choices is fairly significant and definitely something I need help to accomplish. I seek to liberate all women from feeling they need to stay in the confined boxes that were handed down to them by their mothers, fathers, society etc.
We all need to help each other stop the cycle of accepting the pressures of being someone we are not so we can show the world who WE ARE and how our purpose is meant to fit into this web of life. We do have the power to embody the MAGNIFICENCE of our authentic selves.
In order to further my vision I am constantly learning new ways to better serve my clients because standing up strong requires us to all to face what is currently getting in our way…namely our fears.
I recently earned an additional certification as a COR.E Wellbeing Dynamics Coach through iPEC, which means I’ve got the tools to help you see YOUR best way forward.
Cultivating a sense of Wellbeing in our lives can be a journey, or I like to think of it as a QUEST - intuitively we know the way our feet want to take us, and it’s time to convince our minds that we are ready to follow our hearts forward.
