When the Life You Built No Longer Fits

It starts quietly.

At first you doubt yourself and what you’re feeling because you have everything you need.

A home
Food on your table
Healthcare
A car
Vacations to lovely places
The ability to purchase things you want

You convince yourself that it’s just a tough week/month/quarter…but then you realize that the unrest is getting louder.

In meetings, where you have to quiet your authentic voice in order to give the room what THEY want to hear
On the nights you work late because of unrealistic deadlines
The weekends you just want to stay home, but feel pushed to be somewhere else
The times you feel compelled to help, when you wish you could say no

At first you might think there is something wrong with you because this need to withdraw just isn’t like you. You’ve spent your whole life being in the middle of it all, putting together friendly gatherings, pleasing others with your hard work, helping wherever you can when someone needs it. So what’s changed? The answer is something we never think about or acknowledge, but is vital to embracing who we truly are as individuals.

We’ve slowly and quietly started shifting what we deem most important in our lives, and this affects our very foundation.

You used to love getting appreciation from others for giving your time, but now you crave time for yourself
You once found joy in achievement and promotions, but now you desire purpose
You prided yourself on being the needed go to authority, until you realized you wanted more freedom for experiences and travel

For some women this change builds slowly. For others it arrives all at once in the form of a wake up call that can’t be ignored.

That was my experience.

I lost my best friend to cancer 3 months after her diagnosis, and in the wake of that loss, I realized I was done waiting for “someday”. That moment is what brought me here to walk alongside women like you through this exact experience.

So the true answer to the question of “what’s changed?” is that the older you get the more you learn…

You want to stop pretending you’re someone you’re not, and just BE
You recognize that time is becoming more and more precious
You want the freedom to spend more of it enjoying the life you have been gifted
You want peace

Yet here you are… smack dab in the middle of what your younger self worked for YEARS to achieve, and you realize you no longer want it. It’s painful to realize you would give it all up for one week of alone time spent in quiet reflection to figure out how to best move forward in a new way.

So I’ve built something for exactly this moment, when you know something needs to change but you aren’t sure yet what that looks like or where to begin. It creates space so you can acknowledge and learn more about the shift that’s happening within you, and then put together a plan for action.

I’ve created a 5 week workshop series, one hour a week, designed to give you the space, the tools, and the clarity to regroup, realign, and rebuild.

Week 1 - Start Where You Are

A workshop to help you get clear on what is becoming most important to you NOW.

Week 2 - Purposeful Pathways

A closer look at the values and beliefs you inherited from others, and how to tell the difference between what was handed to you and what is genuinely yours.

Week 3 - Align With Your Vision

An evening of getting truly clear on what you want, and focusing on the feeling of what making it happen would feel like.

Week 4 - Recalibrating Fearlessly

We all have the voices within that tell us we “aren’t enough” in some way, and this is what has kept you from doing many new things in your life. This evening is all about learning why those voices get louder at times like this, and how to quiet them so you can move forward.

Week 5 - Know and Trust Thyself

Just like any new journey, you have to learn how to pace yourself. If you try to do too much too fast, you might overwhelm yourself or become discouraged and abandon your vision. This workshop teaches you how to check in with yourself, give yourself grace when you need it, and make sure you keep making progress.

If you'd like to learn more about this series, I'm offering a free introductory workshop on August 21st at 11:00 AM PST and I'd love to see you there.
